Long overdue review! The best septic company in NE Florida! Recently, I had a “near emergency” Easter morning. I emailed & texted the Grants. I did not expect to hear back from them on Easter Sunday. At that point, it was not an emergency but my septic tank was slow draining. I heard from them on Monday morning and they knew exactly what was wrong. Ross came out on Tuesday morning and cleaned the filter for a minimal service charge. This is also the company that replaced my drain field and everything that comes along with it, including repairing my septic tank back in 2022.

I called for a septic pump out, and Grant's was able to come out the next morning. Very knowledgeable and thoroughly explained what was going on with our septic system and all possible scenarios for correction. Here and gone in no time flat. Highly recommend this company to anyone needing septic services. I will readily call them again when the time comes. Don't let that 1 bad apple review deter you from giving these guys a call!

Buyer beware. Broke my irrigation system and wouldn’t fix it (cost $1,000 to fix), bait and switch on price (quoted $15k wound up being over $20k), and when there was a flowing problem they charged me an extra $300 to fix it. DON’T USE these guys. In regards to their response, Ross said I would need a dosing tank, because I would be too close to the water table to go deep enough for a gravity fed system. The system that was in place was gravity fed, and worked until it got old and there was biomass built up in the drain field. The old system was a few decades old.

Mr. El-Zarif, we are sorry to hear you are disappointed with your experience. Grant's Plumbing is committed to providing high-quality, code-compliant septic services, and we take customer feedback seriously. We believe a detailed clarification of the project is in order. From the outset, we worked to find the most cost-effective solution for your desired system upgrade. We advised upfront that a dosing tank might be required depending on the soil conditions and final permit specifications. You were happy that we would at least try to have your system permitted so that it would not need the extra cost of a dosing tank. When the permit was issued, the site's high seasonal water table necessitated the dosing tank to ensure the drain field's proper height and long-term function. Despite the clear understanding we made sure to have prior to doing work, you were not happy and wanted us to do the job and install the dosing tank for free. When we explained we could not, you asked us to install your system below the permitted height which we cannot do as we cannot compromise on code requirements designed to prevent premature system failure. Throughout this project, we provided significant value beyond our original scope. This included a complimentary $750 septic inspection that was not charged to you, saving you $1,000 by re-scoping the drain field at your request, an additional $1,000 discount on sand, and preserving and reinstalling your landscape plants at no charge. When an unrelated issue with a pre-existing sewer line was found, we repaired the improper installation-a half-day of labor-for only the $300 cost of materials. The project was more difficult than anticipated due to site conditions caused by others, and due to the removal of three old drain fields that were not anticipated. We absorbed the considerable extra labor time, as well as the wear and tear on our equipment, without any additional charge to you. Regarding the irrigation system, our signed contract clearly states we are not responsible for repairing sprinkler lines. The sprinklers you are referring to were installed over the drain field, which is contrary to plumbing code. This was communicated both verbally and in writing. Our recommendation is to return to the contractor who installed these against code requirements as they would be responsible. In total, we provided well over $3,000 in complimentary services, discounts, and below-cost repairs. We stand behind the quality of our work, which was completed to code and passed inspection. While we strive for every customer to be satisfied, we cannot assume financial responsibility for pre-existing, non-compliant work performed by other contractors. We believe we have acted fairly and transparently.
