How did my company get listed?
From public data. We did not receive it from you and you did not agree to it, which is normal for a directory built on public records and is exactly why correcting a page is free and quick.
What does the verification score mean?
It is out of 100, across six checks, and it measures what we could independently confirm from public sources. It is not a rating of the work. The full formula is on how we rank.
Why does my licence say unverified?
Usually because your state publishes no public septic roster for us to check against. We hold 17 registers covering 11 states, and have checked 955 companies against them so far. It can also mean the name on your listing differs from the name on your licence, which we can fix if you tell us the licensed name.
Can I pay to rank higher?
No. Sponsored slots exist, they sit above the list, and they are labelled. The ranked order is the verification score only.
Something on my page is wrong.
Tell us and we will correct it. Claiming your listing is free.
How often is this updated?
Each fact carries the date it was read, on the page, next to the fact. Where two sources disagree we keep both readings and say so rather than quietly picking one.
