We hired this company to repair our drain lines. During the job, they accidentally cut the wire that powers our pond fountain. They acknowledged it and said they would return to fix it, but despite multiple follow-ups, they never came back and stopped responding to our messages. The drain work itself may have been completed, but the lack of accountability and communication afterward was very disappointing. I would recommend making sure everything is fully resolved before final payment.

    Response from the owner

Hi Chandler, we appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to address this. Before starting the project, we did contact 811 and followed the procedures as it pertains to having public utilities marked. As discussed beforehand, private lines such as yours are not marked by 811, even after our attempt at having them locate it. And the area of the installation was the only clear space to do the job correctly. That being said, we take full responsibility for the damage that occurred during the installation. We did intend on returning to splice the wire back together, but unfortunately fell victim to an unexpected breakdown of our pump truck which delayed our schedule by a few days. We take responsibility and should have taken the time to communicate better. We appreciate any and all feedback and we would love to make this right. Give us a call so we can schedule a time to resolve this issue properly. -M&E Septic Service

I have discovered small claims court will not help. if you want to sue this company, which I am, you have to personally sue Mac A. Dreher the owner. His company is not incorporated. Do not use this company. They are are incompetent and irresponsible. They spent three days digging with a back hoe in my backyard and could not find my septic tank. In the process they snagged an underground power line which pulled my well compressor off its base and broke numerous pipes in the basement. I had to call a plumber who charged me $1600 to fix the problem.

Today I used M & E Septic Service to have a drain pit installed! The three workers were very professional and knew how to do the job. They were professional and will to answer any questions that I had. This was my first time using them and would recommend them to others! M& E Septic Service, thank you for such a thorough job. Our general conversation were also funny and informative.

Edit: I’m editing my review. Our septic tank filled with water a month after this company came to pump. I called C.E. Taylor Septic instead. The technician was able to tell me that the previous company (M and E Septic) only pumped the water out; they didn’t pump the “cake” as a septic company is supposed to do! The C.E. Taylor technician was also able to diagnose the problem immediately. He noticed that there was water leaking from the pipe continuously. He said it was a plumber/toilet issue, not a drain line issue.
