The gift that keeps on giving. Prior to moving into our home we asked DLC to perform an inspection 4/28/25 as our knowledgeable insight into our septic system. They did not include the following items or failed to notice: the drainfield installed was a conventional system with gravel not low profile panels as permit indicated, the drain lines weren't installed correctly, the septic alarm should be on a separate breaker, the pool was on a separate breaker (not on my inspection report.)

Doug, sorry you felt that you did not receive the services that you paid for. I made your appointment and you were informed at that time that till the pump was pulled there was no way to price what would be your cost. We first did your septic inspection for your address on 4/28/2025 and did find the pump not working. The previous owner that you bought the home from paid for the new pump and that can be seen in the invoice that you attached to your review but you blacked out her name. The owner and the realtor was sent an email on 5/22/2025 and notified of the breaker not meeting standards for the Liberty pump that was in the system. We are septic and not licensed electrician and we did replace a broken box around the electrical outlet but did not work with any further electrical issues as that would have to be done by an electrician. This could be compared to me replacing an outlet cover but I would not attempt to make any changes to the electicity from the breaker box. We do plug in the pump and if it doesn't work it is normal to try from another electrical source to have a second look and not immediately change a pump that cost $1175.00. It is normal wear on a pump and pipes that are incased in water or the ground to have aging occur. PVC pipe Schedule 40 should not break when it is removed unless the pipe is aged. You were given a substanial discount for the work and charged accordingly. I offered for my inspector to go to your site immediately and check the work that you seem to have not approved of but you chose not to have anyone else come out to check. It took my maintenance crew over an hour while waiting for your payment. I do understand that your information or knowledge about what a septic/pump system requires from the septic side verses the electrical side. You accepted the compromised price and we do appreciate your business.
