We completely understand your frustration that we were unable to clear the drain during our visit and that another plumber was ultimately able to do so. From a customer's perspective, we understand why that would be disappointing. We do want to clarify that our $350 drain cleaning service is an attempt to clear the blockage, and prior to performing the work, we explain that there can be unforeseen circumstances where our equipment may not be able to successfully clear the line. Payment would be due for the attempted drain cleaning, whether successful or unsuccessful, which is what you were charged. Based on the conditions our technician encountered during the visit, an additional repair option was provided. An estimate is exactly that: an option based on what the technician finds at the time and the customer is never obligated to proceed with the recommended work. We apologize that a miscommunication regarding an estimate gave you such a strong impression of our character. We always hope for the best when attempting to clear a drain and I hate that we couldn't clear it on the initial attempt. We take our responsibility seriously, not only in trying to remove the blockage, but also in finding out why it clogged to begin with. If we can determine we can provide options for your consideration to hopefully prevent you from having the same issue in the future, we will always do so. Even though we were unsuccessful in clearing the drain with our equipment, we are glad that you were able to get the clog removed and hope that the drain line doesn't continue to give you issues in the future. Because the name used for this review does not allow us to positively identify the service visit in our records, we would welcome the opportunity to speak directly with you and review the details of the original call.
