About JSM Dirt and Sanitation

From the website of JSM Dirt and Sanitation, read 15 Sept 2026. It describes what the company says it offers, not independent verification.

JSM Dirt and Sanitation handles emergency septic service, and the company says so through a Clinton customer who could not recommend them enough after a callout. Slow drains, sewage odors, wet spots in the yard, gurgling sounds, and sewage backup are the warning signs they tell homeowners to watch for. An alarm on a Sunday morning or a soggy patch by the tank is exactly the situation that service exists for. Getting a crew out before sewage reaches the house is the whole point of having an emergency option on call.

Septic Services in this area

Quoted from the website of JSM Dirt and Sanitation, read 15 Sept 2026.

Emergency response is one side of the business. JSM also installs new septic systems, and the company says an installation estimate includes permits, design, and installation with county approval. Inspections cover tank assessment, pump function, and drain field evaluation, ending in a detailed report. That reporting suits real estate transactions as well as routine maintenance planning, which matters on a closing timeline.

If I could give six stars I would. These guys are awesome. We had a septic alarm around 7 am on a Sunday morning, and by 8 am they were there. They fixed it quickly and for free, since it wasn't a big issue. Would highly recommend!

James has been with us EVERY step of the way with our septic system! It was new to us, and a bit quirky----until James sorted everything out. James ALWAYS responded to our questions, quickly and thoroughly, teaching us anything we wanted to know. For an entire year after, no issues. Each time we needed him in a hurry, he rearranged his commitments to take care of us. Our inspection this December revealed no issues, and again was provided with a sense of humor, patience, and timeliness. We cannot recommend James and the top-notch service he provides, highly enough.

James and his partner are consummate professionals. They performed their tasks thoroughly and explained my septic system to me with clarity while patiently answering my questions. They scoped out the source of a relentless sounding alarm and repaired it promptly. They returned my call!

James (owner) and his team are honest, reliable and provide EXCELLENT customer service. They show that it’s not just a business transaction they treated me as if I was their only customer. Although I know they were super busy and working extremely long hours. Great service company!!!

Reviews describe fast arrivals when something goes wrong. Andrew writes that a septic alarm on a Sunday morning had a crew on site "by 8 am they were there", and the fix was handled on the spot. Monty describes James and his partner tracing a relentless alarm to its source and repairing it promptly. The planned work gets the same treatment in reviews. Gary describes an inspection crew that showed up on time and produced a report with real detail, Scott describes a D-box and risers added to buried tanks with the lawn put back in shape afterward, and Rick describes an emergency at a public building that ended in a permanent fix. Several reviewers say James answers questions until the system finally makes sense.

Before You Call

One decision comes before the rest when a system starts acting up: whether this is a tonight problem or a paperwork problem. Sewage smells or a sounding alarm means asking for the emergency visit, while a house closing calls for the inspection and its detailed report. On the phone, one question settles the schedule: how fast can a crew get here?
