Michele, we're sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience. The pricing for your project, including the permit fees, was provided and approved on February 23, 2026. Although, the estimate was more than 30 days old, we honored the original quoted price and did not increase it. Regarding payment, our estimate clearly states that a 4% credit card convenience fee is added to non-cash and non-check transactions. This fee is charged by the credit card processor and is disclosed before work begins. We take pride in our workmanship and efficiency, and we appreciate that your husband called our office after completion to express how impressed he was with the quality of the installation and how efficiently our crew performed the work. As for permitting, customers are always free to obtain permits themselves if they choose. When we handle permitting on our customer's behalf, our fee includes the administrative time required to prepare,submit,track, and coordinate the process. We would also like to clarify that payment for completed services remains outstanding. A 50% deposit was due the day of install which wasn't received. The only monies received was for the permit and you were emailed your receipt the same day 3/25/26. Any communication regarding payment has been related solely to collecting payment for work that was completed and approved.
