We have terrible smelly water from our well, we hired them to install a filtration system, desperate to not have smelly water, we bit the bullet and spent thousands of dollars for WW to install! Within a month the smell was still horrific. I called and Fred told us we would need new media...$750! If that was doing to be par we decide to not use .. I've written several emails voicing my concerns. The tanks he sold us .. Is treating for iron. After calling several state water agencies they all said a comprehensive water test needed to be done.

    Response from the owner

The equipment in question was installed in June, 2020, Water Works Plus tried our best to solve the problems that Mr. & Ms. Smith conveyed which were iron/rust staining on household fixtures (sinks, toilets showers, etc) and strong oder of rotten egg/sulfer. backwash filters installed are the best solution known for addressing the two problems stipulated. The backwash filter that is intended to address iron has media in it that works effectively but it is being overwhelmed with the levels of BART bacteria that also exist in this well water. The BART bacteria is manifesting rapidly and plugging the media in this filter rendering it incapable of oxidizing the iron so that it can be removed. The second backwash filter has media in it that is designed to oxidize the hydrogen sulfide gas. this filter too is rendered ineffective due to contamination by the heavy levels of BART bacteria in the well water. It was recommended that to solve the problem aeration in the cistern is required as well as injection of chlorine into the cistern to kill the bacteria. The Smith's declined to spend the additional money needed to solve all the problems associated with water from this well. The invoice submitted to the Smiths indicate what the filters contain so the detail about this is already provided. we are not in the business to sell used equipment accordingly, we are not able to assist with the Smiths desire to sell the equipment and would actually not recommend that they sell this equipment.

From my husband, Greg Keller: "Water Works Plus is the most honest and dependable business I have worked with in a long time. Fred showed up within 24 hours and troubleshooted the issue quickly. He was very honest and straightforward, he took the time to explain what he was doing and how we could prevent the issue in the future. I highly recommend them for your water and septic needs!"
