About Thigpen Septic Tank Services, LLC

From the website of Thigpen Septic Tank Services, LLC, read 15 Sept 2026. It describes what the company says it offers, not independent verification.

Thigpen Septic Tank Services pumps septic tanks, makes emergency repairs, and installs new systems. Pumping clears the buildup that collects inside a tank, which is what keeps the rest of the system working as it should. Emergency work sits alongside the routine. A failing system is exactly the kind of call this company takes, from a first pump-out to a full new installation when the old one is done.

Horrible service, won't respond to text in a timely manner. The son has no respect for the elder or landowners. They pumped the wrong side of my septic inside of the solid side. Gave them $500 for a $425 fee. Was an issue about calling to mark utilities, etc before digging. Acted like they wasn't responsible for that. In fact they are responsible for call before you dig. Then to top it off I need them to remove their property (the pipe on the pictures) from our property. Very unprofessional I highly recommend another company period.

Response from the owner

Brett, we're sorry to hear you were dissatisfied with your experience. We strive to treat every customer with respect and provide quality service. We'd like to clarify one important point for anyone reading this review: it is the homeowner's responsibility to have private utility lines identified and marked before any excavation work is performed. We are not able to locate or mark privately owned underground utilities. If any company property remains on your property, we will gladly arrange to retrieve it. For more than 50 years, our family has proudly served this community with honest, professional septic services. We remain committed to doing quality work, standing behind our service, and treating every customer with respect.

First of all I just want to say thank you to the father and son that came through to help us figure out our septic tank issues. We just purchased this home about few months ago and septic was not working properly, immediately assuming they didn’t pump it before sale closed. I was grateful for the prompt response of getting service same day I called. Within few hours they showed up and I was at the assumption that I will have to get this pump and pay for that when it was part of our closing agreement during purchasing this property.

Response from the owner

Thank you so much, Maricel, for taking the time to share your experience! It truly means a lot to our family. We're so glad we were able to get to you quickly and help identify the real issue. We believe in fixing the problem, not selling a service that isn't needed. If a simple solution gets your system working again, that's exactly what we'll do. Welcome to Louisiana! We're honored that you chose us, and we're grateful to have earned your trust. We look forward to being your septic company for years to come. If you ever have questions or need us again, don't hesitate to give us a call. Thank you again for your kind words and recommendation!

Called Mr. Jerry to pump and inspect our septic tank, he was fast and courteous. Showed up pumped and inspected in less than two hours. Very nice to find courteous and honest people these days that do what they say they are going to do at a very reasonable price. Several options to pay bill, would definitely use his service again. Thank you thigpen septic tank service. Highly recommend.

From the Google listing, checked 30 Aug 2026.

Several customers describe how fast the crew moves. Maricel writes that a father and son team arrived within hours of her call and traced her trouble to a tripped breaker rather than a full tank. Timothy says the crew "pumped and inspected in less than two hours," and Christine had a broken pump replaced the day after she called.

Before You Call

A slow or backing-up system forces one early decision: pump the tank now, or have someone look deeper first. Thigpen covers both paths, pumping tanks and making repairs, so the question for the phone is whether the symptoms sound like a full tank or something beyond it.
