Steigerwald saved us from an incompetent contractor who had been (for a year!) trying to figure out why or septic system kept tripping its breaker. Michael looked at it and in 15 minutes knew the problem. 15 minutes!!!!! Others may call themselves pros and experts but Steigerwald is. We’ll never ever use anyone else again. Ever.

The Steigerwald team did a fantastic job of installing over 300 feet of 6" drainage pipe through a wooded area. They operated with both speed and precision, demonstrating a strong attention to detail and taking extra steps to avoid any damage to my lawn from heavy equipment. It was clear that they cared about doing a perfect job and not cutting any corners. Steigerwald also handles my septic pumping, and they have also done a great job with this over the years. I would strongly recommend them for any septic or sewer needs.

What an unbelievable rip off! I was charged $650 to snake a kitchen drain. It took two hours. That's $325 per hour. I was told very unapologetically that is what they charge. $325 an hour. How can you possibly justify that? My lawyer doesn't charge that much. I would never use their service again. Steer clear unless you have lots of money to burn.

    Response from the owner

Dear Sir I am so sorry that you are unhappy with our service although when your wife called she was aware of the charges and was happy that we were able to pull one of our service techs out and send them over immediately to your house she also made us aware that she had another plumber there that tried with two different machines to open the and were unsuccessful . We sent a very experienced Tech with the right equipment to come and do it the first time unfortunately our charges are not just for the time there we have a lot of overhead as most small businesses do taxes Insurance liability insurance workman's compensation and because we a only hire the best techs and we pay them accordingly and are trucks come equipped with every possible modern equipment to solve any problem that you have in your home for sewer and septic work we have a professional office manager that does all our booking billing and many other tasks . So as you can see unfortunately we do have a large overhead in our business we have not changed our prices for the last 5 years even though with higher expenses of being in business including insurance and gas we feel this is a reasonable rate and we are very sorry that you were unhappy with our pricing but keep in mind you were told the amount up front we do not hide any charges from our customers thanks again for your business respectfully Thomas Steigerwald
