    We first used Smith's Grading and Septic LLC this past year when we bought unimproved land to build on. We'd initially hired someone else to do the work, but he was not equipped to complete the job. Joseph came in, finished our 700+ foot driveway, cleared many trees (and helped determine which to save) and then raked our home site. He then excavated and prepped for our septic system, which he installed. While doing this, he noted that there were some issues in the soil and recognized that we needed engineered piers for our home.

    Joe Smith and his team exceeded expectations on our shoreline repair project this week on the Pasquotank River. Materials and workmanship were of the highest quality. Joe Smith is a hands-on professional who personally oversaw and participated in replenishment of rip rap and other waterfront improvements. He is a pleasure to work with, prompt, and an excellent communicator. I highly recommend Smith's Grading and Septic.
