About Scarbrough Enterprises LLC

From the website of Scarbrough Enterprises LLC, read 15 Sept 2026. It describes what the company says it offers, not independent verification.

Scarbrough Enterprises pumps septic tanks around Howe and explains the parts inside one that owners never see. The inlet baffle is the short one, there to stop the scum layer clogging the sewer pipe and to keep the tank from churning. The outlet baffle is the long one and does the more important job. It lets only the clearest water pass onward, and without it the rest of the system takes the solids instead.

  • Outlet Baffle

The outlet baffle is much longer and its purpose is to only allow the clearest water to pass to the rest of the system, without the outlet baffle the remainder of the system will get damaged by the solid material and lead either to replacement or other costly repairs.

This is our 3rd time using Scarbrough and we will continue to use them! Thaddeus was very polite and informative. It is people like him that keep customers coming back. I am a big person about customer service, Thaddeus has excellent CSR skills and knows what he is doing/talking abiut. Scarbrough is lucky to have an employee like him.

We had great service from Scarbrough on our septic system. We were having issues, and he came to pump it and examine it for us- he went above and beyond consulting on what the issues might be beyond the scope of his services. He was professional, kind, honest and fair priced. Would use them again and recommend them to anyone needing their services!

    Response from the owner

Thaddeous has more knowledge about more things than about anyone I've ever met, and he certainly knows septic systems! On top of that he is just an awesome young man. His wife Heather was so efficient and sweet, and had him call back soon, and a time set for him to come by. I was blessed to run into them in town the other day, and they are blessed with a beautiful prescious family. I am so grateful for his help and insight!!!

    Response from the owner

Thank you so much, Theresa, for your wonderful review and kind words about Thaddeous and Heather. We're delighted they could help and that you had such a positive experience. I’ll be sure to pass your compliments along to them and their family. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything else in the future. We truly appreciate your support.

Thaddeus arrived and did great job. Kept us informed on arrival time and was so very helpful and friendly. Very informative and the price surprised us because we thought it would be more expensive. I have used Scarbroughs in the past and will definitely continue to call on them in the future.

From the Google listing, checked 30 Aug 2026.

Thaddeus is named in most of these accounts, with Heather handling the calls. Brittney describes him pumping and examining a system that had been giving trouble and then advising on causes that went beyond what he had been called out for. Repeat custom runs through the rest. Carol describes being told the arrival time in advance and finding the price lower than expected, and Donna describes the clean-out found and the tank emptied in about an hour.

Before You Call

A failing outlet baffle looks like a drain field problem from outside, and the two cost very differently to put right. Ask what condition the baffles were in once the tank was empty.
