We were very happy with Pisgah Septic. Joe kept us updated on his schedule, and then had to troubleshoot and diagnose a somewhat unusual situation with our project. They were very professional, completed the project in one day, and at a reasonable price. We absolutely recommend Pisgah Septic.

Had my septic tank replaced by this company and they did an amazing job! I spoke with the owner after I sent over the permit. He quoted me my cost over the phone after I sent him a few photos. They were not only more affordable than the other companies I had contacted. But when I spoke with them about it they were upfront and honest about what I needed and what it cost them for labor and materials. They showed up and completed the work in one day. They cleaned up and even leveled the area too. The owner knew I have a young child and worked around my schedule as well.

Response from the owner

Thank you sir! Glad to help!

Joe was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. He listened to my concerns, and explained each step of the process he was doing to repair our septic issue. Joe and his guys had to hand dig in order to find the problem with our system, because the area was too tight to get equipment in, because of the many trees and plants in our yard. If he would not have done this, I would have lost some trees that I treasure, mostly Japanese maples. Joe took the time to make sure the trees were not damaged.

Response from the owner

Thanks so much Karen. I really enjoyed working with you!

We had a wonderful experience with Pisgah Septic! Joe and his guys did meticulous work. The yard and woods looked even better than before they came. Their work ethic and friendly service is something that I haven't seen in many years. They have set an example that other businesses should follow.

Response from the owner

Thank you! Glad to be a part of your project!!

Good price, communicative, and the fastest turnaround of anyone we quoted. Even went the extra mile to make the backyard align with our goals. Took care of the downspout drainage and planted grass. We are very happy with the end product

Response from the owner

Glad to be a part of your project!

From the Google listing, checked 30 Aug 2026.

The reviews center on Joe Peterson himself, and on septic jobs that move fast. Lance describes a septic tank replacement quoted from photos and finished in a day, and Laura recounts a new drain field squeezed into a compact backyard within that same single day. Karen writes that the crew had to "hand dig in order to find the problem" rather than run equipment through her trees, so the Japanese maples she treasures came through the job. Several reviewers also mention crews that cleaned up when the work was done and a final bill that matched the quote.

Before You Call

If the job ahead is a brand-new septic system rather than a repair, installation is the service Pisgah Septic offers, and reviewers saw exactly that kind of job finished in a day. One question worth asking Joe on the phone is how far out his calendar runs for a new installation.
