This church had been dealing with a serious water problem because the building sits too low in relation to the surrounding grade. During heavy rain, water was being directed toward the building, which led to significant water intrusion and costly damage- including having to replace flooring throughout the church. When we evaluated the property, we looked at the problem from the source rather than simply treating the damage that had already occurred. Our solution was to properly re-grade the surrounding area and create positive drainage away from the building. By changing the way, the water naturally flows across the property. we were able to give the church a much more effective long-term solution and help keep future rainfall away from the structure. Projects like this are a great example of why proper site grading and drainage are so important. Sometimes the best solution isn't the most complicated one- it's finding the actual cause of the "The problem in correcting it.
