Quoted from the website of New Jersey Septic Management Group, read 15 Sept 2026.

Nearly all of the rated ground around Belle Mead is very limited for a septic drain field, and nine times in ten the reason is that not enough soil column above rock. On ground like that, the conditions on each lot matter for any new drain field.

  • Outlet Baffle

The outlet baffle of the septic tank, which is connected to the outlet line and permanently connected to the wall of the tank, is designed to block floating scum and sewage sludge from flowing outward into your outlet pipe and drain field.

The following is a description of my experience with New Jersey Septic Management Group (NJSMP) during mid-September 2026. I found out about NJSMP via the internet. I needed a residential service provider that could expose the buried septic tank (via excavation) as well as pump it out. I contacted NJSMP, explained the situation, and we agreed on a contract price to conduct both activities. Come the day (Wednesday) to expose the tank, NJSMP showed up on time, with new equipment and professionally dressed staff.

New Jersey Septic Management Group came out and replaced my septic system in 2025. They coordinated with my town's Health Officer to make sure the system met all their requirements in order to add a bathroom to my basement and continued to service my tank after the install.

The buyer of our house hired this company for a septic inspection. Their report marked the entire septic tank, D-box, lid, and baffle as "unsatisfactory," claiming cracks and missing parts, but provided no photo evidence. To verify, we contacted the certified professional who had completely replaced our D-box and lid just 3 years ago.

Not a trust worthy company did an inspection and didn't even dig down to the D-box but deemed unsatisfactory had another company come and do a thorough inspection and the things this company claimed couldn't of been further from the truth. Do yourself a favor and use another company you can thank me later

From the Google listing, checked 30 Aug 2026.

Most reviews focus on the company handling the entire process, from permitting and town coordination to lawn restoration. Jan says Peyton and Tracey communicated through scheduling, permitting, and billing, while Tom helped her and her buyers understand inspection results and repairs. B says the company replaced a septic system in 2025 and coordinated with the town Health Officer to meet requirements for adding a basement bathroom. Diane says the company installed a new system at her Hunterdon County home during a house sale and restored the lawn so the septic was not visible. Elizabeth says the installers worked for four days once the frost and rain broke, and they plan to return to level the ground when it settles.
