I couldn’t recommend Ernie more highly. He does excellent work at fair prices, and he gets the job done quickly. He and Vincent are both genuinely good humans who care about their customers. Ernie stands behind his work. We texted him on a Friday afternoon about an issue with our septic tank that he installed 9 months ago, and he and Vincent showed up Saturday morning to fix it. It turns out, we were doing something wrong, and he showed us how to prevent the issue from arising again in the future.

I would use them again in a hearbeat! Ernie is very knowledgeable, has excellent experience with all types of grading and septic, and is the only guy I would use in Orange County. If there is a space for six stars, I would add another one. This company is highly recommended, and we have hired them to do multiple projects.

I called McBroom's Septic after I mistakenly thought we had an issue with our septic tank. Ernie came out the next morning, and instead of talking down to me or making me feel embarrassed about my mistake, he explained the state of our system and gave me some pointers on how to maintain it over the coming years. He went ahead and pumped the tank while he was here, and made sure everything was done right. Highly recommended and a great local business to support.

That confirms the named holder's Installer Level II certification for installation work, but it does not assess workmanship on a particular job.

Local Ground

Around Hillsborough, the main drain-field limit is slow water movement: water leaves the soil too slowly for a conventional field to keep up. Site conditions on any one lot can differ from the map. See the Hillsborough city page for the full soil profile.
