Thank you for sharing your experience. We understand that the events surrounding this inspection were disruptive and frustrating, and we appreciate the patience and cooperation you and your family showed throughout the process. For clarity, we were contracted by the prospective buyer to perform a septic inspection as part of a real estate transaction. During the inspection, our camera became lodged in a section of piping. While this is an uncommon occurrence, we took responsibility for recovering our equipment and resolving the issue. This required multiple visits, additional labor, and assistance from a subcontracted company, all at our expense. We also restored the affected areas and successfully recovered the camera without charging the homeowner for any of that work. We recognize that having technicians at your home over several days, along with the excavation and plumbing access that became necessary, was inconvenient. That was never our intention, and we regret the disruption it caused. Regarding the septic pumping request, there appears to have been a misunderstanding about whether that service would be provided at no charge. Septic pumping was not part of the original inspection scope, and after absorbing the substantial costs associated with resolving the unforeseen camera recovery, we were unable to provide an additional complimentary service. We strive to treat all homeowners, buyers, and clients with professionalism and respect, even when unexpected challenges arise.
