About Lakeside Electric & Septic Services

From the website of Lakeside Electric & Septic Services, read 15 Sept 2026. It describes what the company says it offers, not independent verification.

Lakeside Electric & Septic Services pumps septic tanks for homes in and around Louisa. Their site says same-day septic pumping is available, which matters most when a tank is filling fast and the drains have started to run slow. For a homeowner staring at a full tank, that is the difference between waiting out a problem and having it pumped out in a day.

I do not recommend this company at all. Communication from them is pretty terrible, almost like they've never run a business before. Example: we had plumbing work scheduled, and they just didn't show up. No call, no show. When you call the office, they give you a story about how something else has happened and they had to change to another job. The work they did started to leak. When I called in to have them come out and fix it two weeks later, they gave me a day but would not commit to a time. They just said, "We'll come sometime today to fix it."

Allen did an amazing job pumping our septic tank. He was very thorough and walked my husband through every step. He was also extremely courteous and respectful. I would definitely recommend them.

The good, no issues with the overall work performed (install a 30 amp outlet, I supplied the outlet and 30 amp breaker), the electrician, Kevin, did a fine job. Kevin was accompanied by his wife, very polite and nice. The bad, the total bill was $719, the actual time to install was 45 minutes; however, the electrician did not have the wire needed (2 feet) to make the connection, so he had to run out and get it. Total time to complete the task was 2 hours and 30 mins, arrived at 1:38 and departed at 3:25. He departed to get the wire at 2:05 and returned at 3:05.

Absolutely horrendous company. They are greedy and will charge way beyond what is fair with less than mediocre work. The customer service is beyond lacking and they will have an attitude the minute they answer the phone. Just steer clear and save yourself money and headache.

Customer reviews of the septic side describe straightforward tank pump-outs. Kirsten says the crew "came out the same day I called" and pumped her system. Connie writes that Allen walked her husband through every step of their pump-out, and Julie credits Connor with quick work and suggestions for caring for the system going forward.

Before You Call

A pump-out is simplest to schedule before a tank is in real trouble, so the decision is whether yours is due now or should be done before the house changes hands. When you call Lakeside, one question covers the practical side: what does the driver need to reach the tank lids?
