About Joe Beard and Sons, Corp.

From the website of Joe Beard and Sons, Corp., read 15 Sept 2026. It describes what the company says it offers, not independent verification.

Joe Beard and Sons designs and installs new septic systems for homeowners in Newburgh and the surrounding county. Their site says new system design and installs are the company's specialty, with countless systems put in the ground every year. Repairs are part of the same work, so a struggling tank is not automatically headed for replacement.

Septic Services in Newburgh

Quoted from the website of Joe Beard and Sons, Corp., read 15 Sept 2026.

Pumping and inspections round out the septic work. The company says a proper septic inspection needs the tank lid and the distribution box uncovered, with nothing over them but dirt and grass, so it helps to clear the area before a scheduled visit. The ground itself shapes any new drain field. Around Newburgh, 56.3% of rated ground is somewhat limited for septic absorption fields, mainly because water leaves the soil too slowly, and a design has to work with that pace.

I never leave a review good or bad but felt an obligation to others on this one. We hired Joe Beard and Sons for a septic replacement, and a year later, we are still dealing with the fallout of their poor workmanship, lack of communication, and disregard for our property. Their crew tore up areas of our yard far beyond the scope and site of the septic replacement. They also disturbed and damaged rock patio areas that were discussed to remain undisturbed, and which were never satisfactorily repaired despite our complaints.

I have never left a review, but this serivice was so bad I have no other options. If I could leave -10 stars I would. First, I want to say the only good thing about this company is the nice lady who answers the phone. I called and set a time for them to come out, and took off work that day as well. (1 Day lost wages) The day came, and nobody showed up. I called and they said "sorry" they will be out the next day. The next day came and went and nobody showed up. I waited a few more days (thinking they might show up) then called again.

DO NOT USE THEM! Website is all about communication, ease of service, and blah blah blah. They have half of our money for a septic field and we have been paying 300 per month for them to pump the septic until it is fixed. They will not give a date of fixing... but they SURE keep taking our money! Last quote was "we had a lot of people quit recently ". Ok... then give me my money back and I go get someone else to do it. Call my mother in law back!

Was charged more than agreed on. I have been calling for months now about a partial refund on the job that I was overcharged on. No one will get back with me even though the refund was promised…….. Maybe once you sell one of your trucks off marketplace you can pay me back. Thanks Joe.

I called this business because I was having problems with my septic and they sent the tech out and he couldn't find the septic tank and said he would be back in a few days with a different device to locate. They never showed back up and when I called to check they would answer and put me on hold and never came back on line. I ended up calling another company that located the septic that same day and we came up with a plan. I would not recommend, not the way to treat people.

The customers who left five-star reviews describe concrete jobs. Melissa writes that Marshall walked her family through the problems with their system until the issues made sense, and Terry credits Blake with a full septic installation finished in under three days, with no interruption of service inside the house. A reviewer named Joe, whose tank got pumped, says the technician "explained everything."

Before You Call

Anyone buying or selling a house with a septic system faces a decision routine service never raises: whether to have the tank inspected for the closing itself. Joe Beard and Sons offers septic inspections for real estate, so that visit can be booked on its own. One question for the phone: how far out is the schedule when a closing date sets the deadline?
