About Isackson Plumbing

From the website of Isackson Plumbing, read 15 Sept 2026. It describes what the company says it offers, not independent verification.

Isackson Plumbing takes on drain and sewer work in San Francisco. Their site says the crew clears clogged drains, cleans sewer lines and runs hydro-jetting, alongside camera inspections and root removal. For a backed-up line that means one company can find the blockage, show what the inside of the pipe looks like and then clear it.

Steven Isackson is very knowledgeable and patient. He bids very transparently, and the proposal/quote outlined everything he was going to do. We had a washing machine failure and water heater failure in a ~100 year old building at the same time. We typically buy a new appliance and have the store install it (Home Depot, Costco, Lowe's, etc), but this time, the delivery team refused to touch it because our valve/hoses were rusted. We hired a TaskRabbit to help replace the rusty hoses and hook up the washer, but there was still a leak at the valve, and then the water heater failed.

    Response from the owner

Thank you for the thoughtful review! We are glad we could help get everything taken care of for you with the water heater and washing machine. We really appreciate your trust and look forward to helping you again in the future!

Our previous plumber for this old building retired. So relieved to find Isackson. Steven fixed 2 leaks under the kitchen sink and a running toilet. Price was very fair; work done quickly and pleasantly.

    Response from the owner

We know how important it is to find someone you can trust, especially after losing a longtime plumber, so we truly appreciate the opportunity to help. Thank you so much for the kind review!

My husband had a great experience with Steve who was able to set up an appointment the same day he called. He contacted us before our appointment and said he might be a little late. He pretty much arrived close to our appointment time and was easy to talk to as well as get our questions answered. Steve checked out the issue, explained what was happening as well as how our old building was constructed related to plumbing, and how to best fix the problem. He did the work himself and got our toilet and drain pipes flowing well again. I am hoping and visioning that our problem is solved forever.

    Response from the owner

It was a pleasure meeting you and your husband and helping get everything flowing properly again. Hopefully the toilet and drains stay trouble free for a long time! Thank you again for trusting Isackson Plumbing. We’d be happy to help anytime you need us in the future!

Several customers describe Steven Isackson doing the work himself and explaining what he finds along the way. Estelle wrote that he set up a same-day visit, arrived close to the promised time and "did the work himself" until the toilet and drain pipes were flowing well again. Kay had two kitchen sink leaks and a running toilet fixed quickly, and Warren describes Steven answering messages fast and catching a hidden toilet leak on a return visit.

Before You Call

Repeat clogs in the same drain raise a choice between clearing it again and finding out why it keeps happening. Isackson Plumbing does sewer line cleaning and root removal, so it is fair to ask whether the line itself needs that deeper treatment rather than another quick clear.
