We’re sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with your experience, and we do apologize for arriving outside of the scheduled appointment window. A repair earlier that day unfortunately took longer than anticipated. Rather than rescheduling you, we still made it a priority to come out that evening because your pump had failed and the pump tank was overflowing. When we arrived, our priority was to provide some immediate relief to the system and determine what pump would be needed for the repair. We pumped approximately 1,000 gallons from the overflowing pump tank and were able to identify the existing pump, which had been installed in 2007. The $550 charge was for the pumping service that was performed. Because of the amount of wastewater and solids that needed to be removed, we did not have enough remaining capacity in the truck to also pump the main septic tank that evening. We explained this at the property and discussed returning to replace the failed pump and service the main septic tank at that time. We also discussed your previous service with us in 2021 and explained that, as a returning customer, we would work with you on the cost of servicing the main tank when we returned for the pump replacement. At the time, our understanding was that you agreed with that plan. We understand that the late arrival was frustrating, and we take responsibility for running behind schedule. However, we do want to clarify that the $550 charge was for approximately 1,000 gallons that were actually pumped from the overflowing pump tank, not simply for diagnosing the pump or making a service call. We appreciate your previous business and are sorry that this experience did not meet your expectations.
