About Esselman Sewer & Drain

From the website of Esselman Sewer & Drain, read 15 Sept 2026. It describes what the company says it offers, not independent verification.

very rude, did the work in a rush, didn't wait for me to get home and on top of all he refused to explain what the problem was until he was paid. I am not sure what kind of people he is used to deal with, I am just not it. He increased the prices at every turn. Unprofessional and unethical business behavior. Don't recommend it. He talks so much and he doesn't aloud you to speak without interrupting.

Absolute NIGHTMARE. They came to pump our septic, couldn't find it, and then took our $400 and said that they couldn't remedy the situation because their excavator refused to come out to us, blaming us for a scheduling issue that never happened. It took me WEEKS to get them on a phone (they stopped responding to texts) and they were unapologetic and said they would be keeping our money even though they literally provided ZERO service to us. Do NOT work with this company if you value your sanity or money.

Saturday night toilet was backing up water all over. We called a few people no help at all. We called Esselmans Septic and they were great. Aaron helped us out that night and it was late too. I definitely recommend Esselmans Septic. They are wonderful.

Fantastic service. They answered my call on a Saturday morning, walked me through the entire process to solve my issue, and got someone to my house to fix the problem that afternoon. Aaron came and quickly, diligently solved the problem, while making every effort to save me money and teach me how to prevent future problems. Highly recommended!

From the Google listing, checked 30 Aug 2026.

Several customers describe quick help on bad days. Margaret wrote that a toilet was backing up water on a Saturday night and Aaron came out that same evening after other calls went nowhere. Isaac reached someone on a Saturday morning and had a crew at the house that afternoon, and Joanna's pumping happened the next day. The same names keep turning up. Aaron handled Margaret's, Isaac's and Joanna's visits, and Carl, whose tank and leach field both ended up needing replacement, says Aaron "went the extra mile" working extra hours. Kirstin booked Lisa's pumping appointment within ten minutes and moved it around a snowstorm, and Sean did the job and cleaned up before he left.

Before You Call

If the tank has not been pumped in a few years, or a house closing is coming up, booking a pumping visit beats waiting for a backup. One thing worth asking Esselman Sewer & Drain when calling: what a routine pumping visit includes.
