You initially contacted our company to perform a septic pump-out, which is a standard service priced at $325. This service was completed only after receiving approval from the homeowner on site. The septic system was pumped as requested. During the visit, it was identified that the issue you were experiencing was due to an excessive clog, not a septic system failure. Our technician made every effort to address the clog while on site and clearly communicated that clearing it would be an additional service, quoted at $275. This was not an unexpected or hidden charge, but a separate service that required additional time and labor beyond the original pump-out request. You spoke with two separate members of our team who reiterated the same information, that the pump-out was completed as requested and that our technician did everything possible during the visit. At no point were you charged beyond the approved septic pump-out service. Any additional work was discussed and required your authorization before proceeding. Additionally, because the issue was determined to be a plumbing-related clog and not a septic system failure, resolution beyond what could be addressed during the visit would require a licensed plumber. This is standard across the industry, as plumbing line blockages fall outside the scope of septic pumping services.
