If you’re in the Hickory area and need tree work, clearing, or grading, I cannot recommend Construction by Clark enough. We’ve been dealing with one specific tree for almost a year… getting the runaround, crazy quotes, delays, all of it. Travis Clark showed up, chained it, pulled it with his dump truck, and had the whole thing down in about 45 minutes. $1,500 and done. No drama. No mess. He was super easy to work with, explained what he was doing, and even took extra time at the end to help me locate our septic lines so I could plan a clothesline. That alone saved me a headache later.

Travis did a wonderful job and I really like the new driveway without all the cracks like the old one had. Thanks so very much.

Thank you, Travis, for your help with our yard! Definitely loved it! It finally now looks like a real backyard! All those odd trees and vines you removed, had made an absolute turn around!!! If you need someone for your yard work, from anything you need, highly recommend him very reliable, very responsive & kind, with a reasonable fair price.

Gets the job done right! Mr. Clark helped me with grading out near my barn and a water retention issue. Several loads of dirt and crush and run. Got the job done quickly and for a fair price. Highly recommend.

    Response from the owner

Thank you very much for the review and choosing to have us help with your project!

Travis just completed installation of a 3 bedroom septic system. Very professional. Easy to communicate with. Hard working. I highly recommend Construction by Clark.

    Response from the owner

From the Google listing, checked 30 Aug 2026.

Several customers describe septic installs done by Travis Clark. Glenn had a 3 bedroom system installed. John says Travis finished his system "according to the permit and county regulations" after bad weather pushed the job back a few weeks. Others hired him for land work around the property. Jennifer had land cleared for her mother's new home with the septic system to follow, and Hunter had grading done near his barn to deal with a water retention issue. Reviewers also mention that Travis answers questions and is easy to reach.
