Calhoun Septic Tank Service

About Calhoun Septic Tank Service

From the website of Calhoun Septic Tank Service, read 15 Sept 2026. It describes what the company says it offers, not independent verification.

Calhoun Septic Tank Service pumps and cleans septic tanks in Plant City and takes on septic system repairs. The company says it is ready to help whether the job is tank cleaning, repairs or any of its other septic services. Risers, filters and cleanouts can be installed, and pumps, floats, alarms and control panels can be repaired or replaced. Those component jobs are offered as part of the same septic repair service, alongside the pumping work.

Septic Services in Plant City

Quoted from the website of Calhoun Septic Tank Service, read 15 Sept 2026.

New system installation is the other side of the business. Their site says an installation job is not considered complete until the new system is fully operational, passes inspection and the customer is satisfied. The ground adds a wrinkle, because federal soil survey maps rate Plant City ground very limited for septic drain fields, with the water table sitting too high across 91.5% of rated ground, and a single lot can still differ from what the map shows.

Highly recommend Dave Price and Calhoun Septic! I called and they were able to come out the very next day. Dave was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and just great to work with. He took the time to explain everything and made the whole process easy. Great service from start to finish, and I really appreciate a company that shows up when they say they will and takes care of what needs to be done. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them!

Our 25+ year old drain field was failing. Calhoun Septic Services had done work and servicing for us previously so they were the obvious choice to seek when this issue arose. Very honest and genuine people to deal with. The job was quoted, timeline was given, and the work was executed timely and as promised. Very pleased. ** update 8/4/2026 with all the heavy rain in recent weeks, there are a couple of spots in my yard that collapsed. Since they were right near the drainfield, I reached out to David to ensure all was well with the septic.

    Response from the owner

Kellie, thank you for continuing to trust us to be your septic company, we take huge pride in ensuring customers go nowhere else after using our services.

Speed comes up again and again in customer reviews. Chris describes a same-day visit that pumped the tank and sorted his issues, and Tammy writes that they "came out the very next day". Reviewers also name Dave Price, who explained everything and made the whole process easy. Linda's failing drain field was redone in a single day. When heavy rain collapsed soft spots near Kellie's drain field on a weekend, David came out on Sunday and returned with fill dirt.

Local Ground

Around Plant City, the main drain-field limit is a high water table: the saturated zone sits too close to the surface for a conventional field. Site conditions on any one lot can differ from the map. See the Plant City city page for the full soil profile.

Before You Call

If the tank is gurgling or an alarm keeps sounding, the decision is whether the system needs a pump-out or a repair to a riser, float, pump or alarm, and a call to Calhoun settles it. Ask when the truck can come out, because a same-day opening makes a real difference when the tank is backing up.
