Septic Services in this area
Quoted from the website of Bigfoot Septic Pumping Service, read 15 Sept 2026.
Real estate inspections follow a set routine. The technician locates the tank, opens the lid, checks interior components like baffles and filters, measures sludge levels, tests drain field absorption, and runs water through the system to confirm flow and drainage. Repair covers the parts that fail inside a system. A failing outlet baffle lets solids reach the drain field, while a damaged distribution box sends effluent to a single section instead of spreading it across the whole field.
Outlet Baffle
A failing outlet baffle, for example, allows solids into the drain field, while a damaged distribution box sends effluent to only one section of the field instead of spreading it evenly.

Before You Call
A pending home sale gives the inspection service a clear use, since the tank, baffles, filters and drain field all get checked before closing day. If the tank is due for pumping as well, ask whether the inspection and the pump-out can happen in one visit.
