BEWARE: This company is neither a reliable sewage service nor a competent excavation contractor. They claimed to be licensed plumbers in Allentown, yet were unable to handle a basic sewer backup caused by a pipe collapse. Instead of addressing the issue, they walked off the job, citing the presence of sewage in the basement. Any experienced plumber should expect and be equipped to handle exactly this situation. We manage a large real estate portfolio across Pennsylvania and have worked with many master plumbers over the years.

    Response from the owner

Thank you for your feedback. We'd like to provide some important context for anyone reading this review. Regarding the Allentown property: we were asked to provide an estimate for a sewer line replacement, we were never hired, never started a job, and never walked off anything. What our team found upon arrival was a basement containing raw sewage, human waste, sewer gases, and uncapped sewage lines. The tenant shared that conditions had been that way for weeks. We made the professional decision not to bid the work, and we notified the property manager in writing within 24 hours. We stand behind that decision completely. Regarding the Orefield septic service: our truck requires safe, clear access to perform the work properly and legally, we cannot block a state route with our equipment. When our driver arrived and found no viable access, he drove to a safe location and attempted to reach both the tenants and the property manager by phone. No one answered. Our office followed up the next day. Rather than a productive conversation, what followed was a series of emails containing insults, threats, and the promise of a negative Google review. We work with homeowners and property managers in the Lehigh Valley who trust us to make sound, professional judgments in the field. Sometimes that means declining to bid a job or rescheduling when conditions, or conduct, make it the right call. We believe that is what a responsible company does. We wish the tenants at both properties well.

Took almost a month just to get me a quote and charged twice as much as another local company.

    Response from the owner

Thank you for the feedback. We recognize our estimate took longer than it should have. As a company that responds to a high volume of emergency calls, failed sewer and water lines, active backups, and families without working plumbing, estimates for non-emergency projects can sometimes take longer to turn around. We should have communicated that upfront and we appreciate your patience. That said, your project was complicated and had some genuine site challenges. To protect your newly paved driveway and future drain field, we planned to access your yard through the neighboring property, which required building a ramp down an embankment, and that level of care was reflected in our price. We also offered alternative material options to help reduce the cost. BSE is built differently than many contractors in our area. Our team is entirely full-time employees, fully insured, on payroll, with benefits. We don't use day laborers. We don't aim to be the lowest price. We aim to do the job right the first time and stand behind our work.
