Banks Septic is a locally operated septic company that pumps and cleans septic tanks. Their site says the two names describe one job: pumping removes all the build-up inside the tank, the sludge that settles on the bottom and the scum of unprocessed solids that floats on top. For a homeowner, that cleanout is the service to schedule when the tank needs attention.

Several reviewers describe crews that showed up when the office said they would and treated the yard with care. Jonathan calls the company punctual with clear advice. Valerie wrote that the technician Nicholas was "careful with his digging" and later replaced the soil and sod. Honest recommendations come up repeatedly too. Jay says the crew told him his second tank did not need pumping, and LuAnn credits a thorough inspection after another company had told her the whole system needed replacing. Barbara's crew worked carefully around her sprinklers.

Before You Call
If it has been several years since the tank was last pumped, that timing is the decision in front of you, and pumping is the septic work Banks Septic offers. One question is worth a phone call: how they judge when a tank is due and what a pumping visit includes.
