Akamai Pumping Service in Kahului, HI

About Akamai Pumping Service

From the website of Akamai Pumping Service, read 15 Sept 2026. It describes what the company says it offers, not independent verification.

Akamai Pumping Service installs risers on septic tanks. Riser installation brings the access ports of a tank up to surface level, which the company says makes the tank easy to reach now and on the next visit. Once the risers are in, the ports stay at the surface, so access does not have to be created again before each visit.

Several customers describe the pump outs by the crew who did them. Pearl credits Frank with a cesspool pump out, and Renette names Franklin and Nathan, saying the pair worked hard and took their time. Klassandra writes that Frank and his team get the job done right the first time. Bob had risers installed ahead of a pump out and says the crew left the area "as though they were never there."

Local Ground

Around Kahului, the main drain-field limit is slow water movement: water leaves the soil too slowly for a conventional field to keep up. Site conditions on any one lot can differ from the map. See the Kahului city page for the full soil profile.

Frequently Asked Questions

Before You Call

One decision worth settling before the next pump out is whether to add risers while a crew is already on site. Akamai Pumping Service offers riser installation as a job of its own, so it is fair to ask on the phone whether the two can happen in the same visit.
